Melvin H. Robinson:President Emeritus

Melvin Robinson is the director of intramural sports at Southern University. A past area administrator with BREC and president of the Southern University Alumnae Association. He is very active in the community and volunteers for many community projects.


Sonya Webb: Treasurer

 

Sonya is an accountant for the state department of education and has also served in the same position for the club for 4 years. She has many years of experience with bookkeeping for numerous businesses and private entities

 

Yolonda Anderson: Secretary

Yolanda has served in this capacity with the organization for 4 years and takes care of many of the day to day items that help to keep the club up to date and informed and manages the general business during the off-season.

 

Earl Marcelle: Consultant

 

Earl is an attorney and has several years of legal expertise. He owns his own company and was a former track star at LSU winning several SEC titles on the 4x400 relay. He also ran track and Baker High School and was a state champion there along with running several years of summer track under Baton Rouge Express Track Club.


Dan Perkins

Dan Perkins works at Star Enterprise. He is the president of the parent organization. He is also level 1 coach certified. He is in charge of fundraising and recruiting.

Chris Hilton

Chris Hilton is a former Bank Manager of Bank One. He was on the state championship team at Baker High School in '89 and '90 and the SWAC championship at Southern University in '91,'92,and'93. He now is employed with Exxon Refinery

Tracy Landry:Assistant Coach

Tracy Landry was the Head Girls Coach at Belaire High School. Before that, she had a successful stint as coach at Glen Oaks Middle and Tara High School. She is former track runner at Southern University and is a certified Track and Field Official. She is also level one coach certified.

Trent Ellis:Project Director:Head Sprint Coach-Founder-President  

Trent Ellis is a Sports Agent and has his own company Athletes Inc. He coached at the University of New Orleans for 3 years ( 2003-2006) as the Sprints and jumps coach for men and women, also he was the Head Boys Track Coach at Galveston Ball High School for 1 year ( 2003),  and Assistant Football Coach. He was also a member of the top rated track team in the state, at Baker High in '88 and SWAC Championship team of Southern University in '91, '92, and '93. He is a Level 2 certified Coach. He has been on the coaching staffs of 2 state championship teams, 3 runnerup teams and numerous individual champions, state, and class record holders. He has 15 years of coaching experience not to mention countless contacts in the sports world.
